3rd Stop... TALCA and Siete Tazas
For our third stop we drove to Talca, Chile. It is about 3 hours south of Santiago. The drive was so beautiful. We got to our hotel late and had a nice dinner for my birthday. Camron even got the waiter to sing to me! The next morning we woke up and went to Siete Tazas. It is up in the mountains and there are some beautiful waterfalls. One you could only see from far away, but the others ones you could hike right down to them. The Siete Tazas or "seven cups", is a series of falls that poor in to seven big pools. One our hike into them I almost grabbed a furry little friend. There was a tarantula right where I was going to put my hand! I freaked out and ran about 30 feet up the trail!

2nd Stop... Santiago
Santiago was next on our route
We got in late and got to our hotel. The next day was my birthday! We were able to go to the Santiago Temple. It was so beautiful. When we got robbed, I realized that I hadn't brought my temple recommend. We had to call the bishop back at home so that I could get in. Once we were in the session, Camron realized there were some people from one of his areas in the same session! He was able to visit with them and then we went to the ward they attend later in the week. We only spent one day in Santiago, so we don't have too many pics there.
It was a national holiday, so the only restaurant we could find open was a Chinese restaurant!

First of Many....VALPARAISO, CHILE
First stop: Valparaiso, Chile

I warned you there would be a blogging overload when we got home...and so here it begins! When we got into Santiago, we got our rental car and headed to our first destination, Valparaiso. It is a beach town and very pretty. The city is built on a hill and the roads are very steep. When we looked at the map, the roads all look like curly fries from Arbys...so no wonder it took us over an hour to find our hotel once we got to the city (the one way roads didn't help much either!)
On our second day, we headed to the beach. It was warm enough to lay out, but the water was freezing!! I wanted to get in a swim so bad...but I could barely put my toes in!!! It was colder than Bear Lake in May!! We left the beach, drove around the city for awhile, and went to dinner. The rental car we had was pretty cheap. The ONLY way to get into the trunk was with the key (you couldn't even put the back seats down to get into the trunk. So, us being the stupid travelers we are stuck our back pack in the trunk. When we came out from dinner less than an hour later, everything was gone, EXCEPT our passports! Luckily, whoever took our bag left them on the passenger seat of the car for us! They stole: 2 Ipods, my Iphone, watch, clothes, travel documents my debit cards (and used them 3 times for over $300 dollars), medicine, my drivers license...and so on! Luckily we had travel insurance that will cover the items stolen! Needless to say...we thought that would be the worst thing to happen on the trip!!

Feliz Navidad from Chile!!
Hola!! Cam and I are having a great time here in Chile!! We actually had to buy a new memory card because we already filled the one in our camera...so beware...when I get home there maybe an overload of photos on my blog!!
We have had a TON of adventures and I will share them with our pictures...But one of the less, shall I say "fun" adventures included getting robbed. In the stuff that got stolen was my phone!!! :( Needless to say I hadn´t synced my phone with our computer yet and lost ALL my contacts!! So if you would like me to have your phone number again, either leave it in a comment, email me at stacy.hanna@yahoo.com, or send me a txt some time after Sunday...(I have to get home and get a new phone first). I should be able to keep the same number...but if for any reason is changes I will let you know!
Stay tuned for AMAZING pics from CHILE!!!
