In Loving Memory

This last week I recieved news that one of our dear friends, Jackie had passed away. She has been a great example and loving friend to all she has met. I was lucky enough to be able to fly home to attend her viewing and funeral.

The funeral was a lovely service. I am so greatful that I have had this time to reflect on our lives and the service that we are expected to provide to others. I also am greatful for the atonement that we have to carry us through times of trials. I am also greatful for a loving husband whom I am sealed to for all time and eternity.

Upon arriving home I also found out mine and Camron's neighbor passed away suddenly. He was the jolliest man I know with a cute smile and a contageous laugh. I was able to visit with his sweet wife and again reflect upon eternal marriage and the plan of salvation.

I am greatful for the knowledge I have that this is not the end, merely we are passing from one phase of life to the next. Our prayers are with the dear family members of Jackie and Jack.

Lucky We're in Love

Since it had been three years since Cam and I had our pictures taken, this spring we got some new ones!! Awhile back I stumbled upon the photo blog of a friend from high school. She takes AMAZING pictures. (to see more click here... blush photography...) I would always look at her photos and wish we had some stunning ones of me and Cam. So right before we left Utah we had her do a photo shoot for us! Thank you so much for your hard work Brooke! I love how they turned out. Here are a few of our favs!!

Grandpa and Grandma B

My Grandparents came to visit this weekend. They were in town for my cousin's husband's graduation, so they stayed at our place! It was fun to have them. The first night here we went out for an adventure to find a restaurant my Grandpa ate at 20 YEARS ago!! Well, after some long detours we found the place, however, not the same good food and high class style it used to be :(

It has been fun to have them here and we loved the time we got to spend with them. On sunday we had a dinner and invited Spencer, Eva and Kate. They are our friends from Logan and later we found out Spencer and I are second cousins. Our Grandmas are sisters! what a small world.

All in all it has been a great week with family!!

Elephants, rainy days, and BIG surprises!!

I can't believe we have already been here in Maryland for 5 weeks!! The time has flown by! We have done so much since we have been here. Who would have thought I would travel to MD to ride an elephant!!

It has been pretty rainy here. It has rained on and off for the last two weeks. Here is what we do on rainy days...



Absolutely nothing. Max hates going out in the rain.

Oh and GUESS what?? I got a job...where you may ask....well, GUESS...Guess clothing that is. I am giving it a go in the retail world. I work 3 days a week and have really enjoyed meeting people and having something to pass the time.

Ha, Cam and Max got me a mother's day card! Let's just say it was a BIG surprise!! Thanks baby!!!

Going ^up^ ???

Our new apartments remind me more of a hotel then apartments. We have these fancy lobbies you walk into, and then you take an elevator up to your floor. Seems pretty cool huh?? Well, not when you have gotten stuck in them TWICE!!! Two days ago I was getting in to go up and the elevator would go up a little and drop....up and drop...up and drop...this continued for two minutes with me and max inside!! Finally the doors opened and I honestly had no idea which floor they would open up to. lo and behold, we were still at the lobby!! Well, we got out and took the stairs.

The elevator doors remained open and it wasn't working the next day. Then it started working again. Naturally, I figured someone had come and solved the problems. So tonight I get in the faulty elevator again....only this time to go down...we were almost the lobby when....we dropped!!

Needless to say...we may be taking the stairs for awhile!!
